Hi and best regards from sunny Germany,
I don’t know if it is the best solutions for a 100 % Omnis solution, but have changed my solutions to a web approach, means output is pure html done by a cron job. Benefit, now its possible to archive the static files or load them in a browser to export them to pdf or whatever.
And as the templates are pure text u can edit them with standard methods and have some classes to fill them with lives.
Another option i have tried : Valentina dB and Valentina reports.
I was looking for a tool to edit SQLite dB, but I was amazed that it is much more…
Btw: every year they have a Omega bundle, where u can save a lot of money, even if you need only Valentina studio for SQLite DBs and more.
But still today I use the static html generation as I don’t have much data to handle. Important is, the output can be archived…
And for this method I don’t need to install a real web infrastructure.
