Announcing OmnisTAP — congratulations –for using a git repo to opensource a great idea
Hi Doug,
I’m glad to get the ball rolling and I hope others will follow suite. I looked into getting Omnis listed as an official language on GitHub. In short, they like to see “hundreds of repositories” using a language before adding it. So, let’s get to it everyone! I know the code is out there and building product awareness on GitHub is good for everyone!
I’m trying an approach to host both the exported source using the 8.1 JSON export and the .lbs files for different versions of Studio. I’m modeling this after projects that host the source and a pre-compiled executable. Exporting the source will make tracking and submitting changes SO MUCH easier. We’re deploying 8.0, but it didn’t take 2 minutes to convert up a copy of the library and dump the JSON. I promise it’s worth it and if you come to EurOmnis I’ll do my best to convince you. 😉
