Mac OS – High Sierra – Omnis 4.3.2.1 – Kelly’s TCPTalk
Good morning,
Kelly found the issue that was causing TCPTalk to crash Studio on High
Sierra and sent me a new version to try out. It does indeed take care of
that.
However, now that I can use it, the new MacOS has gone crazy with the
Security Challenges. Each time I use one of the TCPTalk commands below the
OS pops a Security Challenge saying that Omnis Studio wants to make changes
and I have to enter my password. For sending email, this happens 5 times
for each email.
I have checked the Privacy and Security setup options bust can’t seem to
find anything relevant to stop this. Does anyone know where I might be able
to change a setting for this? None of this happens on El Capitan or
previous Mac OS. I don’t know about Sierra as I had updated to High Sierra
before I got this far.
TCP.OpenClient
TCP.GetCertInfo
TCP.SetIdentityCert

I have tracked it down to the specific command that is causing the crash.
It is: TCP.GetCertinfo (1,certList) Returns err
Not sure there is anything I can do with this until Kelly sees this.
It pops the “Omnis Wants to make changes” dialog, I enter my password and
Omnis just disappears. The Crash log pops up about a second later.

Does anyone else use Kelly’s TCPTalk with Studio 4.3?
I use it for several things, one being SMTP email.
When I send a message, I am getting a OS Password Popup that says Omnis
4.3.2.1 wants to make changes enter your password to allow. I do that and
then a second later it comes up again. I enter the password again and then
Omnis Crashes.
No idea yet what is causing the Confirmation Messages.
