NO – Blockchain
Definitely the right time to look into it!
I would look at Ethereum and Hyperledger to start. There are already some accounting projects happening. I remember the term triple entry when I was reading about one accounting project.

The whole concept of double accounting has originated from the fact that it was easy to cheat with just a sales/purchase book. If these transactions are immediately registered on an unmutable blockchain, that is such a perfect audit, i love the concept very much. I think it will also be very useful in asset management, many blockchains are addressing this issue, perfect traceability of assets, 100% clear ownership, very promising.
