Omnis App Server workload if used as web server too
I had a discussion with Omnis a few years ago regarding the use of “direct
connection” (mainly for smaller sites).
They recommend at that time that I only use the direct connection method
for internal testing / development use & for production environments to use
a real web server… IIS or Apache.
Even if Omnis states its ok to use the direct connection method for small
amount of users, I would still opt for using a web server. Once its up and
running its pretty much maintenance free anyways.
