$OS iOS Wrapper and PDF’s
I’ve updated to using the iOS Wrapper for JS apps version 1.5. There is a new feature which I can’t seem to make work. When I create a PDF and open it in an HTML Object on the Remote Form (jsHtml), there now appears a nifty toolbar on the top of the HTML object with some tools for scaling the size of the view, showing a page sidebar and so forth. It also has little buttons on the right side, one that seems to be “Print”, and one that seems to be “Download”. When I tap the printer button, there is a very brief message saying “downloading”, which quickly goes away and nothing happens. When I tap the download button, to opens the PDF in another window, nearly filling the screen, which has no way of exiting.
For information, I create the PDF using kDevOmnisPDF and I save it in a temporary location with the $settemp() option
Calculate $cdevice as kDevOmnisPDF
Do Omnis PDF Device.$settemp(kTrue,20) Returns lPath
Calculate $prefs.$reportfile as lPath
After the PDF is created I open another form with the HTML object on it and pass it the parameters for the path and report name. I use $assignpdf to make the PDF appear.
Calculate lPath as tvParamRow.lPath
Calculate lName as tvParamRow.lName
Has anyone else figured this one out?
