Posing a question for the good of the Omnis community – want to move to STACK EXCHANGE?
To second Wendy’s comment, my initial fear was that I would become isolated. Right now I feel I am part of a big team where we know each other and we have discussions, not just Q&A, that I listen in to and occasionally take part in. However, if I can subscribe to receive omnis related questions and answers that would be great, but I would prefer to receive notification of any Omnis posting, including replies, not just when new questions are posted.
I also have a question regarding stack-exchange versus stack-overflow. Both have been mentioned interchangeably, but when I look at them, they appear to be very different in that stack-overflow appears mainly concerned with programming and has the appropriate tags to show for, whereas stack-exchange appears to have tags related to everything in the universe and no tags related to Postgres, etc. Which are we actually intending to join?
I must admit, it would be nice to have multiple tags, i.e. Omnis and Postgres for example, so we can have Q&A further grouped within Omnis tags, and a web-presence that is easily searched and filtered.
Just my two cents worth.
