Problem with accented characters in Postgres
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had experienced this strange problem with
encodings in PostgreSQL:
When I send a SQL query to Postgres from Omnis with a
@[
character (accents in my case) the query returns nothing where it should be
returning something. When the variable has only ASCII characters, it works
fine. The exact same query input directly to Postgres (from pgAdmin) works
fine.
I’m using: French Windows 7, Studio 6.1.3 with
$charmap=kSessionCharMapNative, $codepage=kUniTypeNativeCharacters,
$encoding=kSessionEncodingUtf8, $unicode=YES, $validateutf8=kTrue
The database is on Postgres 9.6 with UTF-8 encoding, FR_Fr_1252 encoding,
collation and char_type. Also had the problem if database encoding was
WIN1252.
Any help will be very welcome.
Best regards,
Andy
