random padlocks
You can also revert to SMB1 and turn off Write Back Cache.
I have posted a Studio Library to do this previously (Makes all the registry changes). I’m sure it could be converted into a Omnis7 App.

Simon,
What about using a ODB-OmnisDataBridge server ?
Will allow you to continue using DML & OmnisSQL(not a great fan of it) and you don’t have the locking problems you are confronted with.
We have been using it with O7 and 0$4 at the same time.
If you want we can share a small library which allow you to test the record locking of your setup.
Regards,
Marc
