Tune Postgresql

I tried one similar. I compared it’s output with the default postgresql.conf file that we were using, and then researched the parameters that were changed.
In the end we went with most of the recommendations. We hit a problem in that we were using replication for a hot standby backup, and we needed to apply the same settings to the backup too, otherwise replication would drop out because the backup server wasn’t keeping up with the main server.
